Position Summary

The Adjunct Assistant Professor, EMS, is responsible for facilitating class lectures, labs, and clinical instruction of adult college students and/or high school students for EMR and/or EMT (EMS
121, 128, 131, 133 and 140) initial courses of instruction.

Required Qualifications
  • 2‑years of full‑time EMS transporting experience (or equivalent experience)
  • Kansas EMT certification
  • Associates Degree; candidate must attach PDF of unofficial transcripts when applying for consideration
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years full‑time EMS transporting experience (or equivalent experience)
  • Kansas AEMT, Paramedic, or RN licensure; candidate must attach PDF of current license when applying for consideration
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher; required for all section 133 and higher; candidate must attach PDF of unofficial transcripts when applying for consideration
  • Kansas EMS I/C certification; BCLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PHTLS Instructor; attach PDF of any current instructor cards
  • Experience in EMS initial education
  • Knowledge of instructional methods & teaching experience to deliver content, skills instruction & remediation
Position Details
