Starting Salary: $73,109 – $96,115 (determined based on relevant work experience).

The Director oversees JCCC’s five Hospitality Management programs, ensuring compliance with local, state, and accreditation agencies. The Director facilitates student matriculation, oversees program staffing, fosters stakeholder relationships, coordinates curricula, manages resources, and leads the overall health and welfare of the program.
Responsibilities- Student Matriculation – Facilitate admission, pre‑registration, retention, graduation, and placement processes.
- Faculty and Staff Supervision – Lead recruitment, selection, and evaluation of full‑time and part‑time faculty and staff.
- External Constituencies – Build positive relationships with external stakeholders and coordinate faculty participation with stakeholders.
- Curriculum – Lead overall program curriculum development and evaluation to ensure student success.
- Fiscal, Facilities, & Equipment – Direct formulation, prioritization, and implementation of the annual master plan at the program level.
- Leadership – Foster a positive environment that promotes innovation and teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in Hospitality or related field (e.g., Business, Education).
- 3 years of teaching or leadership experience in a hospitality educational program at the community college or university level.
- 3 years of work experience in one or more hospitality fields (culinary arts, hotel & lodging, food & beverage management).
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with local and national professional organizations.
- Effective communication skills internally and externally.
- Deep knowledge of the hospitality industry and the role of education in preparing careers in the relevant fields.
- Ability to balance program leadership with teamwork.
- Certification by accrediting agencies affiliated with hospitality management programs.
- Previous experience as an educational administrator in a hospitality management program.
- Previous community college experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with other college administrators, faculty, and staff across divisions.
