Position Summary
Plumbing Instructor Adjunct – Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, Kansas. The Plumbing Technology program seeks an adjunct instructor to teach plumbing theory, print reading, residential and commercial plumbing, and plumbing code. Courses include laboratory and lecture sections, primarily offered during evening hours.
Required Qualifications- Demonstrate plumbing and construction industry knowledge
- Ability to use various presentation methods to lecture and demonstrate within a class or lab environment to diverse audiences
- Be capable of working safely with a variety of plumbing tools and installation operations in a lab environment
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- 7 years of plumbing field experience and current Journeyman License
- or 5 years of plumbing field experience and current Journeyman License with an AAS degree
- Bachelor's or advanced degree plus a minimum of 3 years experience working in the plumbing industry
- Master plumber license
- Teaching or training experience
