Job Title: Transition Coordinator

Schedule: Varies, typically Monday‑Wednesday‑Friday, 12 hours per week; hybrid schedule available.
Pay: $23.16–$29.97 per hour based on experience.
Position SummaryPlans and coordinates the College Success Transition Programs. Manages student applications, conducts interviews, and coordinates with constituents. Maintains accurate records on participating schools and students. Advertises Transition into Postsecondary (TIPS) and other relevant courses across campus and the community using written, online, and in‑person content. Communicates with campus and community partners to provide a holistic approach to student success. Assists in daily operations of the program with students and professors to align program with the needs of high‑school students transitioning to college.
Teaching responsibilities include TIPS sections and facilitation of coursework, speakers, texts, and learning strategies.
- Outreach and marketing of transition programs to stakeholders.
- Structure and implement transition programs.
- Coordinate campus and community partners to enhance student experiences and success.
- Problem‑solve academic, social, and other issues arising during student transitions.
- Lead and facilitate TIPS curriculum; guide students and support faculty team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience in high‑school and higher‑education environments.
- Knowledge of FERPA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
- Higher‑education teaching experience.
- 3‑5 years of leadership and/or program facilitation experience.
