Telecom Project Estimator, KS-Overland Park

Coordinate with subject matter experts and other disciplines, as well as other assigned estimators to insure complete scope and execution are included.

Estimate material requirements with minimal design documentation.

Price and labor materials and equipment.

Capable of performing conceptual estimates and able to complete unidentified scope based on limited design documentation.

Responsible for reconciling materials and man hours with internal and external clients (JV and/or subcontractors).

Responsible for presenting their estimate in B&V's "Cost review board" process prior to bid submittal. Ability to explain scope, takeoff process, produce backup documents if needed, explain man hour and crew makeup.

Responsible for providing input into the development of a "Basis of Estimate" document stating estimating process and procedures for specific estimates which include but not limited to: scope definition, takeoff process, material pricing basis, unit man hours basis, exceptions/exclusions, labor rates, crew makeup, construction execution, etc.

The Project Estimator position requires a complete commitment to the Company's Core Values and Policies. The Project Estimator 5 should be an estimator with a high level of expertise and experience with estimating at risk construction. At least 5 years experience in Estimating and 5 years experience in the Telecom industry are preferred for this position.

This position may also have the responsibility for traing and mentoring, and sometimes managing estimators with the Telecom estimating group.
