Impact
  • Lead and support electrical engineers on the design of power generation projects
  • Lead and support electrical engineers on the design of renewable energy projects
  • Lead and support electrical engineers on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades
  • Lead and support electrical engineers on federal electrical system upgrades
  • Mentor and teach junior engineers
  • Project proposal and budget development
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of detailed electrical design engineering experience, including calculations and equipment specifications
  • 3+ years of relay coordination and schematic design
  • Engineer in Training Certification
  • CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering
  • Essential Professional Licensure/Certification
  • Previous experience leading a group of engineers is a plus
  • 3+ years of detailed design engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations is a plus
  • 3+ years of owners engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations is a plus

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $73,100 - $125,400
