Job Description
We are looking for another incredible Senior Controls Engineer to join our team. The Senior Controls Engineer primary role will be to manage and facilitate the completion of multiple projects. Responsibilities include understanding regular engineering processes, documenting work performed, working with program design and testing, and troubleshooting. An understanding of control logic and control processes is necessary, as is accuracy and attention to detail.
Depending on project size, you may be required to manage a small team. Our most successful individuals are capable of problem solving with a broad understanding of all aspects working in harmony together. Interpersonal and communication skills are also valuable in a technical environment.

Custom Control is a well‑established, 45‑year‑old, fast‑growing, family‑owned private company located in Overland Park, KS. We develop and integrate control systems for industry, manufacturing controls for solar power generation and storage, food processing, airport fueling, and many other applications. Nearly all our work is customized and managed for our clients. Our projects are highly variable by nature. Every day brings something new.
We work together as a team to do the difficult and unusual. It's interesting work that makes a difference in the world.
Our senior control engineers usually work both individually and as a team. Our beautiful facility houses both engineering and operations and is open five days a week. You may be assigned to a wide variety of projects, with a wide variety of tasks. Your level of autonomy is dependent upon your abilities but you will never be without help if you need it.
