Job Overview
Responsible for electrical hardware design at the circuit and PCB level. Key duties include schematic design, PCB layout, resolving part obsolescence, and creation of technical documentation.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Design and document electrical circuits, including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
- Work with PCB layout using Altium.
- Evaluate and resolve component obsolescence and recommend suitable replacements.
- Submit and review engineering changes for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging, and testing using standard electrical test equipment.
- Responsible for creation of technical documentation for internal use and to support customer deliverables.
- Support reliability engineering efforts by performing FMECA analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain schedules in accordance with internal processes.
- Use Altium for schematic capture, PCB layout, library management, and generation of manufacturing documentation
- Test equipment:
Oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, DMMs, and other COTS test equipment. - Work with JIRA, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, PLM systems, Excel, and other business tools.
- RF experience beneficial but not required
- Programming beneficial but not required:
Python, MATLAB, C, C++
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and digital design practices.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with test equipment and construct/evaluate prototypes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent experience.
- 2-5+ years of board-level electrical design experience.
- Must pass a U.S. government background investigation.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
