Procurement Specialist - Power Transmission & Distribution

Join Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group as a Procurement Specialist. The Procurement Specialist collaborates closely with the Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) project team to prepare and execute contracts with engineered equipment/material suppliers and construction subcontractors. This role involves evaluating commercial proposals and managing the administration of purchase orders and subcontracts through project completion and close-out. Please note experience must be in Power Distribution (not Oil/Gas).

Duties

• Collaborate with project teams to align procurement activities with project schedules and requirements
• Develop and manage bidder lists; solicit and evaluate RFPs; negotiate contracts; and recommend awards
• Coordinate technical reviews with engineering subconsultants and incorporate necessary contract flow-downs
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies; prepare and execute contract documents
• Maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships; manage procurement status reports and documentation
• Identify and mitigate risks related to subcontracts and purchase orders; resolve material discrepancies
• Validate equipment and material requirements from engineering drawings; organize data per system standards
• Adhere to internal standards and procedures; perform special projects as assigned

Required Experience And Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field
• 5 years of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) experience related to Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, including vendor and subcontractor management
• Previous experience with supplier and subcontractor prequalification, RFP solicitation, bid evaluations and recommendations, contract negotiations, contract generation and issuance, vendor submittal management, and expediting oversight on EPC T&D projects.
• Strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors in the industry
• Transmission Line (T-Line) project procurement strongly desired.
• Experience in Procore software a plus!

• Self-starter capable of working independently while supporting team needs
• Expertise in MS Suite:
  Excel, Office, Power Point
• T-Line project experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deliver clear and confident presentations in both virtual and in-person team settings, effectively conveying complex information
• Strong customer service and effective time management skills
