As a Senior Structural – Transmission Line Engineer you will have the opportunity to:

• Support design engineering and analysis on transmission scopes.
• Support large, extensive 345kV rebuild and greenfield projects, including trending technologies like HVDC and 765kV.
• Collect and assimilate data for engineering work. Perform research and prepare calculations in accordance with Black & Veatch and industry standards.
• Develop recommendations for equipment and materials. Understand and work successfully within budget, project schedule, and quality requirements.
• May assist with providing guidance to engineering team members.
• Maintain positive client relations understanding client interests and drivers through effective communication with the project team.
• May assist with business development activities.
• Function as a technical specialist or in a lead role.
• With minimal supervision, apply advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods.
• Expand knowledge and skill set in area of discipline.

• Proactively provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies. May own, maintain, update, or develop engineering standards and guides. Provide technical guidance to others regarding projects or disciplines.
• Apply knowledge and ensure compliance with B&V quality program. Establish related processes, and promote a culture that is conducive to quality. Support continuous improvement, change management and risk management efforts.
• Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects. Perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or material selection. Oversee collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work.
• Prepare complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles. Manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Develop and apply advanced engineering solutions to complex problems. Ensure project teams delegate appropriate tasks to lower‑level team members to develop depth of project execution staff. Review lower‑level engineering work or assignments. Be responsible for one or more of the following: leading production teams; coordinating multiple discipline activity;
