This position is responsible for growing and maintaining the payments business portfolio for businesses in the lower end of the Business Banking segment. The Virtual Treasury Management and Payments Consultant provides consultative support to existing clients, helping them improve cash flow, working capital management, payment processes and day-to-day financial operations. In collaboration with Business Banking Relationship Managers and internal partners, this role deepens payments relationships, supports retention and delivers a consistent, efficient virtual client experience.
The Virtual TMPC will:
- Grow, manage and retain an assigned portfolio of lower-end Business Banking clients through proactive,
- primarily virtual outreach and relationship management.
- Conduct discovery and analysis of client receivables, payables, liquidity, cash conversion cycle, working
- capital and internal payment processes.
- Provide consultative recommendations that improve payment efficiency, strengthen controls, simplify
- processes and enhance the client experience.
- Partner closely with Business Banking Relationship Managers to prioritize opportunities, prepare for client
- conversations, coordinate follow-up and expand existing relationships.
- Use phone, video, digital collaboration tools and other available technologies to efficiently serve a broad
- portfolio and deliver timely, accurate support.
- Maintain a disciplined sales process, including opportunity identification, pipeline development, activity
- management, proposal follow-up and documentation of client interactions.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales, revenue, portfolio growth and retention objectives while balancing client
- needs, risk requirements and operational quality.
- Coordinate the structuring and implementation of new or modified payment services, engaging
- implementation, service, product and risk partners as appropriate.
- Provide ongoing portfolio support by identifying servicing needs, resolving or coordinating issue resolution,
- and ensuring account and service structures remain aligned with client needs.
- Stay current on payments capabilities, digital solutions, industry trends, fraud considerations and
- applicable policies to support informed client conversations.
- Demonstrate operational excellence, accuracy, sound judgment and a client-focused approach in every
- interaction.
Basic Qualification
s
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Three to five years of related experience.
