About The Job

The CT Technologist performs CT procedures and related techniques. Produces images for the interpretation by or at the request of the Radiologist while exercising professional judgement in performance of services.

Summary Of Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • ARRT (R) (CT)
  • Certification in CT preferred upon hire or within 6 months of hire date
  • Kansas State Licensure as applicable
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Position Responsibilities
  • Performs CT procedures.
  • Operates imaging equipment to successfully perform procedures, and devise a plan of action that considers patient condition and diagnosis.
  • Prepares room for procedures including sterile trays, protective equipment, and devices used per protocol.
  • Prepares patients for procedures, including screening, providing instructions to obtain desired results, and explain the procedure to the patient.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality.
  • Ensures ACR Guidelines for accreditation.
  • Maintains records and performs daily QA for equipment as assigned.
  • Correlates patient’s accurate clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by Radiologist.
  • Assists with assigned departmental tasks necessary for day-to-day operations.
  • Assists radiologist with specialized procedures.
  • Follows established company policies in regard to attendance, appearance and service.
  • Maintain confidentiality of facility and patient information in accordance to company policy.
  • Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner.

Physical Resources

Position patients and equipment to produce appropriate scans. Ability to lift 25 lbs is required. Requires hand dexterity for computer and equipment operation. Requires standing for long periods of time.

Environmental Conditions

Indoor, climate-controlled environment.

Machines/Equipment Used

Medical Equipment, personal computer, printer, multi-line phone, fax machine and copier.
