Talent Acquisition Specialist | Lockton AffinityLockton Affinity, located in Overland Park, KS is searching for a Talent Development Consultant. The Talent Development Consultant will create and execute technical learning and development programs for Associates across a variety of departments. This consultant will collaborate with leaders to identify needs, refine existing programs, develop new programs, and promote learning resources to bolster the technical proficiency and professional growth of Associates.
This consultant will also facilitate talent development sessions and manage day-to-day talent development program administration.
- Design and develop new, engaging, and interactive content and deliver it via a variety of delivery methods, including instructor‑led training, e‑learning, and blended learning.
- Facilitate in‑person technical and professional trainings. Recruit, manage, and recognize volunteer facilitators, and work with volunteer facilitators to improve content and delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms. Improve technical content and delivery methods based on learner feedback and industry trends.
- Manage activity completion checklists, case studies, and assessments to support learning initiatives. Ensure programs align with business objectives and comply with industry regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with leaders to identify technical and professional skill gaps. Conduct thorough needs assessments and develop strategies and programs to address identified gaps. Collaborate with leaders to update competency matrices.
- Establish and maintain a centralized repository of technical knowledge resources, including documentation, reference materials, and online resources. Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration among Associates by facilitating practice communities and other learning forums.
- Meet with Associates one‑on‑one to discuss learning opportunities and provide augmented technical instruction to Associates needing additional support. Meet with supervisors to suggest technical learning and development for Associates.
- Analyze and distribute meaningful reports on learning results to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., instructional design, teaching, human resources, business administration) or equivalent experience.
- Experience with teaching, facilitating, and/or consulting.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and learning methodologies.
- Ability to think creatively and apply innovative problem‑solving skills to overcome challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering technical programs using various delivery methods.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other online learning tools.
- Previous insurance experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage multiple priorities effectively.
