The Role

Position Summary

The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for clean and artful web design, as well as superior user interface design skills. They should excel at conceptualizing original website design ideas that simplify complex challenges and enhance user friendliness. While the primary focus is web design, proficiency across various mediums is essential. Strong time management skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail are imperative.

The successful candidate will have the ability to translate high-level requirements into seamless interaction flows and tangible design elements. They will adeptly transform these concepts into visually stunning, intuitive, and functional designs. Key Responsibilities
  • Understanding Client Requirements:
    Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand their objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes for the website.
  • Planning and Research:
    Conduct research on industry trends, competitor websites, and user preferences to inform design decisions. Create wireframes or prototypes to visualize the layout and structure of the website.
  • User Experience (UX) Design:
    Design intuitive user interfaces that prioritize usability and accessibility. Ensure a seamless navigation experience and optimize the website for various devices and screen sizes.
  • Graphic Design:
    Develop visual elements such as logos, graphics, and images that align with the client’s branding guidelines and enhance the overall aesthetics of the website.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with designers, developers, content creators, and other team members to integrate design assets and ensure the website meets technical requirements and performance standards.
  • Client Communication:
    Maintain open communication with clients throughout the design process, providing updates, gathering feedback, and addressing any concerns or revisions promptly.
  • Self Project Management & Deadline Adherence:
    Manage projects efficiently, ensuring quality designs are delivered on time and within budget while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Layout Production:
    Efficiently produce digital layouts by inserting content, including text, images, and multimedia elements, into developed websites.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:

    Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve any bugs or usability issues. Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent functionality and appearance.
  • Documentation:
    Document design decisions and any custom functionalities implemented during the development process. Provide clear instructions for future updates or maintenance.
  • Continuous Learning:
    Stay updated on emerging technologies, design trends, and best practices in web design. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills and expand knowledge in relevant areas.
  • Content Management Tools:
    Utilize content management tools and platforms, such as Word Press, to produce and manage digital layouts.
  • Other Duties as Assigned:
    Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the project manager or team lead.
Position Requirements & Competencies
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills.
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and information architecture.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Vast knowledge of Adobe Suite and Figma for designing complete web experiences, traditional print materials, and online graphic elements.
  • Proficiency in content management tools and platforms, such as Word Press.
  • Good understanding of content management systems.
