Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Database Administrator
The Data Engineer role within the Cloud Payments Reporting team is responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining data solutions. Primary responsibilities will include querying databases, maintaining data transformation pipelines through ETL tools and systems into data warehouses, providing and supporting data visualizations, dashboards, ad hoc and customer deliverable reports.

Responsibilities- Provide primary support for existing databases, automated jobs, and reports, including monitoring notifications, performing root cause analysis, communicating findings, and resolving issues.
- Subject Matter Expert for payments reports, databases, and processes.
- Ensure data and report integrity and accuracy through thorough testing and validation.
- Build analytical tools to utilize the data, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency.
- Implement, support, and optimize ETL pipelines, data aggregation processes, and reports using various tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with operational leaders and teams to understand reporting and data usage across the business and provide efficient solutions.
- Participate in recurring meetings with working groups and management teams to discuss operational improvements.
- Work with stakeholders including data, design, product, and executive teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.
- Handle tasks on your own, adjust to new deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Design, develop and implement special projects, based on business needs.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Five or more years of experience with Oracle, MySQL, Power BI / Quick Sight, and Excel.
- Thorough knowledge of SQL, relational databases and data modeling principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PL/SQL, Bash, Power Shell and Python.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to consult with stakeholders to facilitate requirements gathering, troubleshooting, and solution validation.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to understand the bigger picture.
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis clearly.
- Strong organizational skills, including multi-tasking and teamwork.
- Self-motivated, task oriented and an aptitude for complex problem solving.
- Experience with AWS, Jenkins and Snap Logic is a plus.
- Data streaming, API calls (SOAP and REST), database replication and real-time processing is a plus.
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
