Job Summary

The Solutions Architect II, as a member of the Solutions Architect team, is responsible for the design and technical sales of technology solutions for ISG customers. The Solutions Architect II participates in ISG’s sales, scoping and proposal creation processes and works with account managers, sales professionals, engineers, project managers, manufacturers, vendors, and distributors to fulfill role responsibilities. The role requires fluency in the Managed Services portfolio, solution design, and presenting solutions to clients and prospective clients, educating them on the value of each offering.

The Solutions Architect Team acts as the safeguard between sales and project delivery teams to support project profitability and works with vendors and partners to design appropriate solutions, create scopes of work and proposals, and assist in project planning.

Key Accountabilities
  • Owner of Technical Pre-Sales and related processes
  • Solution Design – Managed Recurring Revenue (MRR) and Professional Services (PS) Revenue
  • Client presentations, assessments, and solution reviews

Responsibilities
  • Obtain a clear understanding of ISG vision and role objectives
  • Assist clients and perspective clients in developing a strategic roadmap to support their business and technology initiatives
  • Support sales during client discovery meetings and assessment meetings, gathering information for technical assessments
Team & Collaboration
  • Perform thorough project handoff to Project Management, Resource Engagement Coordinators, Implementation Engineers, DCS Operations Manager, and other resources to ensure seamless delivery
  • Contribute to achieving individual, team Managed Services and professional services goals
  • Work with sales to support the sale of advanced technology and ISG Managed Services solutions
  • Follow all team policies and procedures and support the company by completing other duties as assigned
Technical Skills
  • Design and architect advanced technical solutions, including proposals, scopes of work, and service delivery proposals
  • Design and architect managed services solutions, including proposals and MRR agreements
  • Stay informed of new solutions and technologies and participate in presales meetings as technical design facilitator
  • Maintain understanding of ISG-provided products and services and their results for customers
  • Attend available technical training and maintain required certifications
Customer Service & Professional Skills
  • Meet presales performance expectations and maintain customer service and soft skills
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and assist in resolving technical sales issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and stay current on technology products
Requirements
  • Technical Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in MSP Solution Architect or related roles
  • Professional level certifications across relevant technologies (storage, compute/servers, networking, wireless, UC, security)
  • Strong experience with Microsoft products and online solutions (Office 365, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure, Power BI, D365, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license; driving record must meet ISG’s insurance criteria
