Salary: $55,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements
  • 2–5 years of experience in desktop, help desk, or onsite IT support
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft 365
  • Comfortable with hands‑on technical tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or fully authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (now or in the future)
Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier I / Tier II onsite support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10 / 11 and Microsoft 365 issues
  • Support academic and administrative applications
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues and installations
  • Provide professional, high‑touch support to faculty, staff, and students
  • Assist with imaging, deployment, and device refresh cycles
  • Support Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or similar endpoint management tools
  • Perform system patching, updates, and maintenance
  • Maintain detailed asset and ticket documentation
  • Support Active Directory and Azure AD user and group management
  • Assist with Microsoft 365, Exchange, and VPN connectivity
  • Develop a basic understanding of Windows Server 2019 or newer
  • Collaborate with senior engineers without independent server ownership
  • Adhere to ANSI / TIA‑568 structured cabling standards
  • Spec, build, test, and troubleshoot network cables (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A)
  • Utilize cable testers and tone generators
  • Work confidently with racks, cabinets, patch panels, and network closets
  • Resolve wired and wireless networking issues (802.11 a / b / g / n / ac / ax)
  • Follow Consltek and client security protocols
  • Support endpoint security tools such as AV, encryption, and MFA
  • Document all work clearly and consistently
  • Operate within ITIL‑aligned service management processes
  • Be available for occasional after‑hours support during incidents or outages
  • Support university events and functions, and be on call for scheduled maintenance windows
