GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
:

Under supervision, performs routine non-professional care; take and record vital signs; collect specimens and performs related patient care tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observes and reports patient’s status and needs.
• Answers call lights and attends to/reports patient needs.
• Transfers, moves and repositions patients, as needed.
• Monitors and records patient’s vital signs like heart rate, pulse temperature and blood pressure, as needed.
• Assists physicians and nurses during examination and treatment of the patient.
• Makes occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Maintains current knowledge and certification requirements.
• Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job-related hazards.
• Respects and regards the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: 2 years of experience preferred.
