Job Summary and Qualifications- Under the general direction of the HCA Midwest Maternal Transport Coordinator, Transport Program Director and Transport Medical Director (Maternal Leadership Team), the Maternal Transport Nurse identifies, plans, implements and evaluates the stabilization and emergency care of high-risk maternal patients in collaboration with the Medical Control Provider.
- Commitment to performing daily transport responsibilities each shift.
- Serves as an exceptional ambassador for HCA to referring facilities, staff, and providers.
- Practices in accordance with hospital philosophy, policies, procedures and standards of the transport program approved by the HCA Midwest Maternal Leadership Team.
- Care is provided in accordance with hospital policies, applicable state Nurse Practice Acts, and AAP Guidelines for Air and Ground Transport.
- Graduate of a school of nursing.
- Licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- BCLS and NRP required upon hire and maintained; RNC‑OB (Inpatient Obstetrics) certification within 18 months of hire and maintained; C‑EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification required within 6 months of hire and maintained.
- Minimum of 3 years current clinical experience as an RN working in a tertiary obstetrical care center (preferred).
