General Summary of Duties
Under supervision, performs routine non-professional care; takes and records vital signs; collects specimens and performs related patient care tasks.
Responsibilities- Observes and reports patient’s status and needs.
- Answers call lights and attends to patient needs.
- Transfers, moves and repositions patients as needed.
- Monitors and records patient’s vital signs like heart rate, pulse, temperature and blood pressure as needed.
- Assists physicians and nurses during examination and treatment of the patient.
- Maintains current knowledge and certification requirements.
- Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe responsibilities related to general safety, department safety and specific job hazards.
- Respects and regards the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
Education / Experience:
2 years of experience preferred.
