American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring critical care experience and current BLS/ACLS certification.

• 25-bed Intensive Care Unit within the main hospital building
• 1:2 patient ratios
• Unit staffed with charge nurse and unit secretary from 7a-11p; no tech support
• Uses Alaris pumps and GE monitors for patient care
• Documentation via Medi Tech EMR
• Self-scheduling model with every 3rd weekend required
• Travelers are first to float, typically to telemetry or as a helper/resource in other areas
• Shift runs 7a-7p
• Procedures performed on unit include open heart recovery, bedside cardioversions, bronchoscopy, CRRT, and Impella support

• Active RN license (KS or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to change required
• Neuro and trauma experience a plus
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing in a collaborative, team-oriented ICU environment
• Facility utilizes AIDET patient experience standards
• Unit is working toward Unit of Distinction and the organization is pursuing Pathway to Excellence recognition
• Required uniform: royal blue scrubs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
