Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is seeking an RN for an Emergency Department role in a Level 2 trauma center requiring at least 2 years of trauma/ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

• Active KS RN license or compact license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Emergency/Trauma nurse in a Level 2 trauma center
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Certification
• CPI certification required for all ER units
• CEN or TCRN certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Level 2 trauma center Emergency Department with 24 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Mid-shift scheduling with shifts ranging as early as 10a-2230 and as late as
• Required to work every third weekend
• Rare floating, only if other staff have been flexed home
• Unit staffed with unit secretary coverage 21 hours/day and a 5 RN core team
• Uses Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Artic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center
• Utilize AIDET communication standards and whiteboards for patient experience
• Required to maintain a positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Dress code includes cobalt blue top and black or cobalt blue pants, solid color, with closed toe shoes
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
