Job Overview

Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician Manager with passion and the ability to help motivate, engage, and train a team of veterinary professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate highly advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate within your department and maintain all related skills and knowledge.
  • Create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, effectively communicated, and delivered upon.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert and resource to Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development.
  • Serve as a mentor to staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
  • Identify conflicts in the workplace, seek assistance in resolution and create effective working relationships.
  • Coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity.
  • Clearly communicate with team members to ensure consistent understanding of new ideas, changes in protocol, policies, and impending changes.
  • Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate an environment of teamwork.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Work with the Technician Training Manager to schedule ongoing training.
  • Document performance‑related issues, assess team members during annual review, and provide hospital leadership with recommendations related to performance management and discipline.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
