Lockton Affinity, in Overland Park, KS, is searching for an experienced Account Manager to join our Group Benefits team. This person will be the primary service and marketing contact for an assigned book of business. Working with internal and external partners, the Account Manager will advocate for client needs and build long-term relationships that drive client success.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively cultivate Lockton Affinity’s relationships with existing and prospective clients, carriers, vendors, and other providers.
- Responsible for routine service and administration, which includes responding to client inquiries, documentation and reporting, and issue resolution.
- Conduct all benefit marketing efforts, including the production of Request for Proposals, coordination of vendor response, analysis and comparison of RFP responses, and preparation of client reports with recommendations.
- Responsible for implementing client launches and renewals, including carrier involvement, employee correspondence, adherence to a project timeline, and coordination with vendor partners.
- Accurately input and maintain client information in Lockton Affinity’s data management systems.
- Partner with team leaders, Producers, sales, and service associates to support the overall goals of Lockton Affinity.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years in the insurance industry, specifically in the employee benefits area, is typically required.
- Required Life & Health insurance licenses or ability to obtain immediately.
- Professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads and meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills including preparation and execution.
- Demonstrated business acumen, professionalism, and critical thinking skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) or similar software applications.
