Role OverviewAs a Finish Carpenter/Working Foreman, you'll play a crucial role in both managing the worksite and performing high-level carpentry tasks. You'll oversee projects, from start to finish, ensuring everything is done on time and to the highest standard. This position is perfect for someone who loves being in the field and taking a hands‑on approach while mentoring and leading a skilled crew.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day‑to‑day operations on residential construction sites, ensuring projects are completed to company standards.
- Proven experience in door and window installation.
- Skilled in trim work, baseboard, crown, wainscoting, cased openings, and all aspects of finish carpentry.
- Perform advanced carpentry tasks such as framing, installing doors/windows, cabinetry, and trim work.
- Collaborate with project managers and owners to maintain project timelines and adjust schedules as needed.
- Manage on‑site materials and ensure tools and equipment are well‑maintained.
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction with project progress.
- Lead a crew, solve problems on the fly, and deliver high‑quality work efficiently.
- Must be punctual – showing up on time is non‑negotiable.
- Maintain reliability with no unplanned absences, as customers arrange their schedules for installs.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in carpentry, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of leading a team.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality craftsmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Full‑time position.
- $25.00–$30.00 an hour based on experience.
- After a 2‑week trial, a raise is possible based on performance and leadership.
