NOW HIRING A FIELD TECHNICIAN:
The Field Technician will respond to service orders and trouble tickets, supporting the installation, maintenance, repair, removal, or migration of telecom equipment and services. The Network Technician should be self-motivated, capable of making prudent decisions under pressure. Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to outstanding customer service are essential for this role.

- Perform and support the installation and maintenance of telecom equipment.
- Test, troubleshoot, repair, and decommission central office and customer-premise telecommunications equipment and services.
- Conduct equipment, service, and facility migrations and augmentations as needed.
- Perform routine testing and maintenance using various methods and equipment.
- Provide basic analysis of testing results to KFN team personnel and customers when required.
- Understand and interpret standard telecommunication wiring or fiber color codes, connector pin assignments, and central office installation methods.
- Interpret written requests and coordinate work with customers.
- Interface professionally with all internal departments.
- Maintain vehicle and work equipment per company policies.
- Provide inventory control and site auditing as required.
- Coordinate projects with internal departments and external utility companies.
- Perform fiber optic cable locates as required, and supervise outside plant splicers.
- An associate degree in a related field or five (5) years of telecommunications experience.
- Prior experience in electrical transmission cable/systems and fiber optic cabling.
- Experience with DC Power Plants, Battery Distribution Units, AC power plants, and rectifiers.
- A valid driver's license.
