About the Role
Indra Air Traffic is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Installation Planning Specialist to support the preparation and coordination of air traffic surveillance radar installations across the United States. This role focuses on ensuring installation sites are properly prepared, required materials are identified and available, and installation documentation is complete and accurate before field activities begin.
Working closely with engineering, project management, logistics, and installation teams, the Installation Planning Specialist will help ensure each site is ready for installation and that materials, plans, and quality requirements are aligned with project specifications. This position is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to installation sites as needed.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate site preparation activities to ensure installation locations are ready for upcoming radar installation work.
- Review site-specific Bills of Materials (BOMs) to verify material requirements, quantities, and alignment with project specifications.
- Coordinate site kitting activities with the Logistics Manager to ensure installation materials are properly identified, organized, and available when needed.
- Review Installation Plans (IP) and Installation Designs () to verify completeness, accuracy, and alignment with site requirements.
- Coordinate installation material ordering and follow up on procurement activities to support project schedules and installation readiness.
- Review site quality checklists to ensure applicable quality requirements, inspections, and documentation are identified and addressed before installation.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, logistics, and field installation teams to resolve material, documentation, and site preparation issues.
- Monitor installation readiness across multiple sites, tracking outstanding materials, documentation, and preparation activities.
- Identify potential risks, material shortages, or schedule concerns and communicate them to the appropriate project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate installation preparation records, documentation, and status reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to installation planning, material coordination, and site readiness.
- Provide occasional on-site support or conduct site visits as required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or technical training in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Experience in installation planning, project coordination, technical documentation, materials management, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), installation plans, and other engineering documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects or site preparation activities simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating materials, procurement, logistics, or inventory activities preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, logistics, project management, and installation teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support site preparation and installation activities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve logistical or documentation issues.

Reports directly to the Project Manager and works closely with engineering, logistics, and installation teams to coordinate site preparation and ensure installation readiness across multiple locations.
