Software Engineer – Commercial Lending (Contract‑to‑Hire)

Hybrid Full‑Stack .NET SQL Agile Delivery

This role supports strategic initiatives that enhance and modernize the Commercial Lending technology ecosystem. You’ll work closely with business partners and engineering teams to build, improve, and support applications, platforms, and environments that drive lending operations.

• Develop clean, maintainable, testable code across assigned features and components
• Troubleshoot and resolve system or client‑impacting issues across applications and environments
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth
• Stay current with banking and technology trends; apply new learning to your work
• Follow information security standards and best practices in all development
• Participate in evaluating new tools and technologies
• Use technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts to guide development
• Adhere to established engineering standards, patterns, and coding practices

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology or business field, or equivalent experience
• Hands‑on experience developing, implementing, and supporting components of an application, environment, or platform
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL programming logic
• Experience with .NET, C#, SQL (Oracle)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience supporting commercial lending systems or any part of the loan lifecycle
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience working with distributed or geographically diverse teams
• Familiarity with JIRA
