The Blue Valley Recreation Commission is seeking a passionate and dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our team. As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to children of all ages and skill levels in a fun and safe environment. Flexible schedules available for morning, daytime, evenings and weekends. Starting pay is $16.50/hour depending on availability and experience.

• Follows safety procedures and practices.
• Teach infants, toddlers, children and adults water safety skills.
• Maintain paperwork and update swim lessons as needed.
• Be able to teach all swim lesson skills to the standard set by supervisor.
• Work with minimal supervision during assigned class times.
• Effectively communicate with children, parents, guardians, and other instructors, addressing students' needs and providing timely updates to parents and guardians.
• Maintain all equipment used during swim lessons.

• Must be 15 years or older.
• Previous swimming experience preferred. Training provided.
• Ability to work with all ages and skill levels.
• Ability to modify lesson plans to meet the needs of each participant.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring children to learn and grow.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
