Assistant Coach, Advanced Baseball

Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City is hiring enthusiastic and knowledgeable Assistant Baseball Coaches for our advanced teams.

Part-time

We are hiring reliable part-time staff to assist with practice/training sessions on weeknights and to help coach games/tournaments on weekends, with a chance of weeknight games.

• Pay $26-$30 per 90 minute session
• Free individual membership to The J, Fitness Center, Aquatics and more

• Lead and assist coach with baseball drills at practices and assist coach in games for ages 8-12
• Help set up and tear down equipment
• Supervise children ages 8 to 12 years old
• Provide positive communication and reinforce the coach’s direction

• Experience working with children preferred
• Experience as a coach/player (required)
• Knowledge of baseball and its rules
• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Must have reliable transportation

• Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
• Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
• Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. to move equipment as needed
