Rail Logistics, Inc. is currently seeking dependable experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. Located at 333 E Carrie Ave St. Louis, MO 63147 - multiple positions are available for chassis/container maintenance technicians.

As a chassis/container Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing repairs to intermodal containers and chassis to industry standards. All while meeting the customers service requirements, minimizing cost, and maximizing time.

Starting wages: $22.00/hour up to $26.00/hour with verified work experience

A typical schedule may include working Monday – Friday 6am – 230pm with weekends off.

Shift availability will be discussed at the interview

Chassis Mechanic:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair intermodal chassis including brakes, suspension, electrical, lights, and landing gear
  • Conduct FMCSA and DOT-compliant inspections and complete documentation
  • Perform structural and cosmetic repairs as needed (e.g., welding, cutting, grinding)
  • Replace tires, axles, bushings, and other undercarriage components
  • Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively
  • Follow all safety procedures and terminal access protocols
  • Accurately complete repair orders and inspection forms
  • Work independently or as part of a team in an outdoor environment
Container Mechanic:
  • Inspect containers for structural damage, wear, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform welding and fabrication repairs on container walls, roofs, floors, doors, and corner posts.
  • Replace and repair locking mechanisms, door seals, hinges, and gaskets.
  • Repair or replace damaged panels, cross members, and undercarriage components.
  • Document all repairs and inspections accurately.
  • Ensure all work meets IICL, DOT, and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with intermodal or heavy-duty trailer equipment
  • Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Welding and/or fabrication experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must have own basic tools; specialty tools provided
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
