* JOB SUMMARY:
** Under general supervision, this multi-incumbent position coordinates all aspects of event, parks and sport fields. This includes but is not limited to scheduling, executing contracts, assessing and collecting rental fees, and drafting set-up plans (furniture, amenities, audio-visual), and arranging support staff.

* ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
*** Coordinate all aspects of event, parks and sport fields services including computerized scheduling and data entry of event information, executing contracts, assessing and collecting rental fees, drafting set-up plans, and arranging support staffing for Bob Duncan Center, Kathryn Wilemon Lake House Event Center, Meadowbrook Center, Esports Stadium & Expo Center, pavilions and sport fields.
* Plan, schedule, assign, and supervise activities of a small workforce, volunteers, equipment and utilities involved in the general operations of rental facilities, sports fields operations, lake operations and facility maintenance including the maintaining the waters and shoreline of Lake Arlington.
* Select, hire, train, direct and evaluate employee subordinates, set work standards, monitor work progress, and inspect work upon completion.
* Coordinate work with other agencies, departments, citizens and citizen groups, and review all requests for customer service and initiate a proper course of action.
* Respond to questions and suggestions from the public and other employees regarding lake and rental activities.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
*** Coordinate and present activities, such as special events and programs at various facilities while producing periodic publicity for those events.
* Provide support of grounds and facilities at the lake and rental facilities as appropriate.
* Prepare monthly reports, provide event facts for correspondence, file and maintain records.

* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
*
* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
* Knowledge of techniques of supervision to plan, assign, coordinate, and direct and monitor subordinates Knowledge of event services industry standards
* Knowledge of office and administrative practices and procedures.
* Knowledge of City ordinances and codes
* Skill in managing multiple priorities
* Skill with organization and attention to detail.
* Skill in using PC Software including current Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
* Skill in oral and written communication
* Skill in mathematical calculations
* Incumbent is subject to fume/odor, dust/mites, chemical and mechanical hazards
* Ability to work within a set schedule.
* Ability to work independently under general instructions.
* Ability to understand mathematical calculations involving fractions, percentages, and decimals.
* Ability to respond to after-hours calls.
* Ability to pull debris floating in the lake up to 200 lbs by using construction equipment and/or vehicles.
* Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor environment.
* Ability to prioritize deadlines and tasks.
* Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish unit objectives.
* Ability to perform a variety of physical skills including but not limited to filing, pulling, seeing, sorting, squatting, standing, stooping, twisting body, typing, walking, and writing.
* Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including but not limited to PC, telephone, calculator, scanner, and copier.
* Ability to operate a motorized vehicle safely with he general public in all conditions.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
* Ability to lift or exert forces equivalent to lifting up to 100 lbs

Qualifying
Education and Experience:
* Two (2) years of coursework in Hospitality, Recreation Administration, Business Management or related field.
* Two to three (2-3) years of experience in facility or program administration including supervision of staff.
* Possession a valid Texas Operator's License, Class
C.
* Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience totaling a minimum of 4-5 years total.
