The Pastor of Worship Arts and Media will implement a comprehensive program to engage the whole church in worship as well as ensure that Freedom has a positive and current presence through our website and social media.

• Lead the church in/to worship under the leadership of the Senior Pastor(s).
• In conjunction with the designated speaker, provide a creative, seamless worship experience that engages the church and strengthens the message of the day.
• Recruit, motivate, and facilitate training of people to do the ministry God has gifted them to do in relation to worship, including vocalists, instrumentalists, technicians, dramatists, readers, decorators, etc. Training includes the development of competency as well as Christlike character. Includes rehearsal and scheduling.
• Lead the worship support team which may include sound techs, light techs, media tech,
  streaming sound tech, and streaming tech as well as any temporary or permanent worship support personnel. Scheduling of rotations for these service roles will be under your supervision, including any coordination with other schedules (child care, greeters, etc.).
• Organize weekly stage set up and tear down.
• Maintain and/or purchase equipment related to the worship and tech ministries.
• Assist with funerals, as requested, by providing music and/or technical support.
• Attend weekly staff meeting.
• Prepare annual budget and present to elders for the Worship Ministry.
• Serve as a staff liaison to assigned ministry teams.
• Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Senior Pastor or his designee.

• A committed follower of Jesus, living in daily and intentional dependence upon Him.
• Strong moral character; above reproach; integrity; humility.
• Affirms Freedom’s core mission, values, and beliefs.  and
• Strong interpersonal skills; connects easily with others; love and joy in relating to others.
• Effective administrative skills, including the ability to set and meet goals, manage ministry and schedules, oversee budgets, and have financial accountability.
• Competency in music. Including the ability to read sheet music, chord charts, understand music theory, understand various instruments and vocal ranges/tones, etc.
• Creative communication. Including how to use music, video, spoken word, sketches, lights, dramatic effects to enhance the worship experience of the congregation.
• Preference of 2+ years of experience as a worship leader. Proven track-record of consistent worship leadership with excellence.
• College/university degree required. Strong preference will be given to candidates with an undergraduate and/or Master’s level degree in music or performing arts.

• A background check will be conducted on candidates under serious consideration.
• This is a full-time position that may involve working extra hours, as required. The job requires working on Sundays, 1-2 evenings per week, and attending weekly staff meetings.
