• Provides patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
• Responsible for selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Perform as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
• Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
• Surgical Technologist position requires call with a 20‑minute response time.

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• 1 year of Surgical Tech experience preferred
• Certified through the NBSTSA or NCCT
