About the Role:

The Purchasing Agent at THM DC Warehouse plays a critical role in managing the procurement of goods and services essential for warehouse operations. This position is responsible for managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to maintain optimal inventory levels. The Purchasing Agent will also monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Net Suite.
• Knowledge of inventory management and logistics operations.
• Certification in purchasing or supply chain management (e.g., CPP, CPSM).
• Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights to optimize purchasing decisions.

• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with vendors to secure advantageous agreements.
