Job TitleContinuous Improvement Engineer
Job SummaryThe Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing and implementing continuous improvement techniques. This includes identifying, investigating, and resolving production issues, working with operations to ensure qualified processes, providing training, and leading cross‑functional problem‑solving activities.
Main Position Responsibilities- Perform line studies to determine efficiencies and improvements.
- Develop standard work procedures for training and operations.
- Create methods to minimize change‑over times and reduce downtime.
- Establish and enforce process standardization throughout the business.
- Improve material flow in collaboration with the Materials Group.
- Drive mechanical improvement initiatives, including capital and MRO equipment investments.
- Standardize all operations and define manpower requirements.
- Develop response time, diagnostic guides, and PM effectiveness processes in partnership with Maintenance.
- Implement workplace organization, visual control, and 5S processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Ceramic, Production, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 3+ years of related experience.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently in a matrix team environment.
- Strong project scheduling and prioritization skills.
Pay Range: $70,000 – $87,000 (based on experience).
Any offer is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check and a pre‑employment drug test.
