Job Purpose

Under limited supervision, the receiver is responsible for receiving incoming shipments of merchandise and other materials and outgoing shipments along with records and files.

Essential Job Functions

• Verifies the accuracy of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records; checks for shortages and rejects damaged goods. Routes merchandise and materials to proper departments and maintains as necessary. Places parts and inbound materials into stock and delivers to specified departments.
• Confirms quantity and places parts into inventory.
• Conducts cycle counts and continuous inventory audits. Receives all purchased materials and/or expense items into database.
• Performs transactions daily to assist online supplier reporting by purchasing department. Initiates non‑conformance process when needed.
• Loads outbound containers; maintains all necessary warehouse and shipping/receiving documentation. Drives for pick‑ups and deliveries, utilizing Life Fitness Owatonna trucks if necessary.
• Operates all warehouse material handling equipment. Rotates stock as required.
• Notifies Supervisor/Manager of any problems with procedures or equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required

Qualifications and Skills Needed:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position
• Forklift (stand up and sit down) driving experience
• Knowledge of Kanban systems / inventory
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two plus years of experience in similar position
• Familiarity with MRP or other compatible manufacturing software – Oracle/Ultriva
• Familiar with Microsoft Office

Working Conditions

Will be working on production floor where areas can be excessively noisy. May require heavy lifting of up to 35 lbs.

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. Your base wage will be between $20.00 - $23.88 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors.

You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.
