DescriptionQuanex is looking for a Production Team Lead - 2nd shift for our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota.
The Team Lead is the change agent within the department and as such must have the ability to cooperatively develop, communicate, implement, audit and enforce standard work at every operation within the department.
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 3:30pm - 2:00am.

What’s attractive about the 2nd Shift Team Lead position?
- Serves as the main contact in the absence of the Supervisor.
- Leads department personnel on the floor and monitors performance levels.
- Ability to flex schedule and work extended hours, as needed, depending on business needs.
What Success Looks Like:
- Leads and promotes a culture of safety first.
- Perform continuous improvement tasks to address red hours reported on HR‑by‑HR boards.
- Leads startup meetings. Participates and provides information for GEMBA walks.
- Must be relied on to work independently with superior results.
What You Bring:
- Three to five years of progressive manufacturing experience.
- Experience training or leading others preferred.
The salary range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00 after Lead Certification.
