Outdoor Power Equipment Sales Representative

Compensation: $27–$32/hour + commission | $65,000–$80,000+ estimated annual earning potential

Location: Burnsville & Owatonna, MN

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Typically 3 days in Burnsville and 2 days in Owatonna, with flexibility based on business needs | Seasonal Saturdays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Tri‑State Bobcat is a trusted provider of compact construction equipment, parts, service, and outdoor power equipment. We're looking for a motivated, customer‑focused Outdoor Power Equipment Sales Representative to grow retail sales across our Burnsville and Owatonna locations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, has an interest in outdoor power equipment, and thrives in a sales environment. You'll guide customers through the buying process, develop new business, maintain an inviting showroom, and help promote our Toro product line.

• Sell Toro and other outdoor power equipment, assisting customers with product selection, pricing, financing, and availability.
• Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through purchase and delivery, including follow‑up on quotes and leads.
• Build customer relationships to generate repeat business and referrals while working toward sales goals.
• Maintain product knowledge and educate customers on equipment features, operation, maintenance, and accessories.
• Collaborate with parts and service departments to support customer needs and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Maintain organized, attractive, and seasonally relevant showroom displays, signage, and product presentation.
• Create social media content and support local marketing efforts to promote inventory, promotions, seasonal products, and dealership events.
• Process sales transactions, financing, and required documentation accurately.
• Promote Tri‑State Bobcat's broader equipment, parts, service, and rental offerings when appropriate.
• Adjust location coverage as needed based on customer traffic, inventory, and business needs.

• 2+ years of sales or customer‑facing experience; equipment, automotive, powersports, or outdoor power equipment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Toro, STIHL, or similar equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship‑building skills.
• Confidence in closing sales, following up with leads, and working toward sales goals.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and explain technical product information.
• Basic social media skills and comfort creating content for a business audience.
• Self‑motivation, organization, and the ability to manage responsibilities across two locations.
• Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn point‑of‑sale and CRM systems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between Burnsville and Owatonna.
