Position: Civil Engineering Technologist for Community Projects
Location: Port Elgin

Enhance community infrastructure in Saugeen Shores as a Civil Engineering Technologist.

Your role will center on project management and technical support for key operational projects.

Reporting to the Development Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for designing and managing various civil infrastructure projects, including sewer and road upgrades. Key tasks involve creating detailed construction specifications and managing contracts to ensure compliance with safety standards. You will also engage in the review of development applications alongside Consultant Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and finalize design drawings for projects

• Prepare comprehensive contract and tender documents

• Oversee inspections to meet project specifications

• Support the management of engineering contracts

• Evaluate development proposals and designs

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education in Civil Engineering

• CET or Technician designation preferred

• Strong project management capabilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Valid Class 'G' Driver's License is necessary
