Mechanical Engineer - Mine Hoist Systems

Advance your expertise as a Mechanical Engineer with Spencer Engineering, specializing in mine hoist systems. Collaborate with a dedicated team to solve complex challenges and drive engineering excellence.

In this permanent full-time role, you will report to the Supervisor of Mine Hoist Mechanical Engineering Services. You’ll be tasked with leading engineering projects from concept through implementation, performing technical calculations, and conducting site assessments. A background in mine hoists is not necessary; instead, we seek professionals with strong mechanical analysis and design abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Finalize technical drawings adhering to regulations

• Engage in client management throughout projects

• Spearhead small project teams to ensure successful outcomes

• Perform site visits for data gathering and assessment

• Oversee quality assurance checks and documentation

Requirements:

• 4+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience

• Degree in mechanical engineering mandatory

• P.Eng. registration or equivalent preferred

• Familiarity with drafting software and Microsoft Office

• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
