Overview

On-site Intune Compute & MDM Technician role at NTT DATA North America.

Location:

Tiverton, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

Principal Accountabilities
  • Analyze and understand our current workstation management environment
  • Manage user devices in our SCCM / MEM / Intune environment
  • Manage and update workstation configurations (image/Auto Pilot)
  • Manage and implement new policies in our Active Directory/Intune environment
  • Manage application deployments and their updates
  • Develop and deploy scripts for the complex configuration of Windows
  • Document the processes, structure and configuration put in place
  • Support complex and modern end user computing solutions
  • Understand and promote end user technology standards for hardware, OS, core applications, and peripherals
  • Support end user architecture to evaluate, establish, integrate and maintain end user technology applications used to manage desktops, laptops, virtual desktops, virtual applications and mobile devices
  • Support end user architecture to proactively automate, streamline and simplify processes and routine tasks
  • Create and update system documentation for operations, and support teams
  • Participate in multiple cross-company projects and initiatives that impact the end user computing solutions and experiences
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ensure solutions and strategies align with up-to-date security standards
  • Identify and implement improvements including standardization, automation, and optimization of services to reduce costs and improve delivery speeds
  • Establish and maintain technology standards, templates, and technical documentation as necessary
  • Deploy monthly and priority Windows updates
  • Prepare new workstation and laptop images – two versions:
    1) remote and
    2) on USB for IT field techs
  • Interface with IT technicians for machines that won’t image, new machines needing an image, new drivers, and all end user computing technology
  • Evaluate and approve peripheral hardware such as docking stations
  • Windows Operating System patching – Weekly/Monthly/Yearly
  • Update persistent VDI and floating VDI images/environments
  • Assignment of VDIs when requested in tickets
  • Update/validate firmware/drivers on devices and peripherals
Technical/Professional Requirements
  • Prior experience with Windows OS 10-11, policy administration
  • 7 x 24 hour on-call support with primary working hours in the Canadian EST time zone
  • Responsible for complex testing and analysis of all elements of the computer systems
  • Analyzes and provides innovative solutions to system engineering and design projects
  • Represents the organization in front of critical audiences such as clients/customers/vendors/executives
  • Thorough understanding and management of customer business needs and expectations
  • Candidates must have exceptional customer service, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Must have sufficient technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level as well as convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals
  • Possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and with a global team of engineers
  • Strong team player with ability to work in a team and as individual contributor
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Fast learner, flexible and able to work on multiple tasks
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Possess 3-8 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Proven experience as an SCCM/Intune Engineer or similar role
  • Significant experience designing, developing and deploying Power Shell scripts in production environments
  • Strong understanding of mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) principles
  • Experience with endpoint security solutions and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an Information Technology, or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, including configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting, Auto Pilot in a fully managed and/or Co-Managed environment, and Apple ADE, Samsung Knox
