Registered Practical Nurse - Ambulatory Endoscopy

Location: Wiarton

Become a crucial part of patient care at Brightshores as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Ambulatory Endoscopy Program, based in Wiarton. This part-time role requires you to provide nursing care throughout the patient journey, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will engage in nursing care across pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases. Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team, your efforts will significantly contribute to achieving optimal patient outcomes and upholding high practice standards in the endoscopy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during all stages of procedures

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the process

• Foster collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams

• Adapt quickly to changing demands of the unit

• Utilize strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Requirements:

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

• Completed perioperative or AORN endoscopy certification

• At least 1 year of relevant endoscopy experience

• Knowledge of ORNAC standards and ability to scrub

• Strong decision-making and organizational skills
