Endoscopy Program Nursing Position - Markdale

Contribute to exceptional patient care as a Registered Practical Nurse in Markdale's Ambulatory Services Endoscopy Program. Engage in all patient care phases during procedures.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering nursing care to ambulatory patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the endoscopy process. You'll operate within an integrated care team, working closely with physicians and healthcare staff to achieve optimal procedural results. Flexibility and adaptability are essential as you respond to dynamic unit needs while adhering to best practices in nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care pre-, during, and post-procedure

• Ensure patient comfort and safety by performing interventions

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members

• Follow clinical standards and ORNAC guidelines diligently

• Document patient care and outcomes accurately

Requirements:

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

• Perioperative nursing or endoscopy certification in process

• Minimum 1 year recent endoscopy practice

• Proven problem-solving and communication abilities

• Adaptability to work in a changing environment
