Registered Practical Nurse

Position: Full-Time Registered Practical Nurse
Enhance patient care in Owen Sound as a Full-Time Registered Practical Nurse laborate in an interdisciplinary team, focusing on harm reduction and Recovery Principles for optimal outcomes.

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Working within the scope of your nursing practice, you'll assist patients and team members in a therapeutic environment. Your familiarity with the Recovery Model and substance abuse treatment will be key in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within an inter-disciplinary team for patient care

• Employ harm reduction philosophy and Recovery Principles

• Conduct psycho/social and mental status assessments

• Communicate effectively with families and healthcare providers

• Advocate for a culture of patient safety

Requirements:

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

• Completed Psychiatric Nursing education

• Knowledge of recovery and substance abuse best practices

• Willingness to learn and complete additional education

• Able to work flexible shifts
