Part-Time Operating Room Attendant

Contribute to patient care as a Part-Time Operating Room Attendant at Brightshores in Owen Sound. Engage directly with surgical teams and support patient positioning and environment maintenance.

In this essential role, you will report to the Manager of Perioperative & MDRD and collaborate closely with nurses and physicians in the Operating Room Suite. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a sterile environment, assisting with patient transport, and conducting housekeeping tasks. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain aseptic environment in the Operating Room Suite

• Assist in transporting patients and products to the OR

• Support nurses with patient positioning during surgeries

• Perform housekeeping duties in OR, PACU, and DS areas

• Follow strict protocols for surgical procedures

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required

• Knowledge of surgical terminology essential

• Ability to follow detailed instructions under pressure

• Willingness to participate in training programs

• Recent satisfactory performance and attendance history
