Part-Time Registered Nurse

In the Inpatient Mental Health department at Brightshores, this role reports to the Manager and involves providing care for individuals with mental health, addictions, and neurological conditions. As a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to client-focused outcomes in a therapeutic setting while facilitating smooth transitions back to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in an inter-disciplinary team to deliver patient care

• Conduct psycho/social and mental status assessments

• Facilitate inpatient groups and therapy modalities

• Provide advocacy and education to patients and families

• Ensure adherence to patient safety and policy best practices

Requirements:

• Current Ontario College of Nurses registration

• Recent psychiatric nursing experience within three years

• Knowledge of Mental Health Act and DSM-V-TR

• Non-violence crisis intervention certification

• Commitment to continuing education and mandatory training
