Surgical Registered Nurse

Join Brightshores Health System as a full-time Registered Nurse focusing on surgical patients in Owen Sound. You will provide comprehensive care to promote health and support recovery and rehabilitation.

This full-time temporary role reports to the Manager of Surgical Services. You will manage care for surgical patients, coordinate IV therapy, and perform physical assessments. A minimum of two years of surgical experience is required, along with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote health and ensure optimal surgical patient care

• Administer IV medications and manage epidural analgesia

• Conduct physical assessments and patient education

• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs and situations

• Exhibit strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Requirements:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Minimum two years surgical experience in the past five years

• Proficiency in venipunctures and central line care

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
