Reporting to the manager of medicine, owen sound site, the registered practical nurse (rpn) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide care to those patients with a stable and predictable outcome within the defined professional scope of practice as set out by the cno.

Qualifications

Required:

Ontario college of nurses registration

Ability to work at full scope of practice

Coronary care 1 course or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire

2 years recent acute care nursing experience

Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills

Commitment to continuing education and professional development

Participation in quality improvement initiatives on the unit

Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
