Part Time Registered Practical Nurse

Expand your mental health expertise as a Part Time Registered Practical Nurse with Brightshores in Owen Sound. Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to support clients with mental health and addiction challenges.

This role requires a commitment to delivering client-focused care under the supervision of the Manager of Crisis Mental Health Services. You'll implement Recovery Principles while performing psychiatric assessments and providing advocacy, education, and support. Additionally, be prepared to travel within Grey and Bruce counties and adapt your skills to other teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychosocial and psychiatric assessments efficiently

• Implement recovery-oriented interventions for clients

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance care

• Plan and facilitate inpatient group sessions

• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Current registration with Ontario College of Nurses

• Certificate in Psychiatric Nursing from a recognized institution

• Recent experience in psychiatric nursing (within 3 years)

• Knowledge of Mental Health Act and related legislation

• Valid CPI certification and medication delivery experience
